From the Blogger: “A cute puppy square, perfect for making a baby blanket, or you can use the puppy as an applique on another project. I'm planning on making more animal granny squares. When I'm finished my current crochet projects. Measurements of the square: approx. 15.5 cm X 15.5 cm / 6.1 inch X 6.1 inch. Yarn used: Kartopu Bebe 100 % acrylic (50 g / 150 mt), in colors white, red and black, with a hook size 4.5 mm.”

Ive already made the Year of the Chicken square by this same designer, so I was very happy to see an addition to the family. Whats not really obvious in the photo is that the snout of the little fellow protrudes a bit, giving him a three dimensional look. The Chicken is constructed the same way, and at first, I thought I must be working it wrong because the beak wasnt laying flat. No mistake on the designers part, but clearly intentional.

Aww. This is so cute. This would make a great little blanket for a sweet little boy. A great baby shower gift or for a birthday gift for a preschool little boy. Little boys love little doggies. Another great look for the blanket would be to add some squares that have only doggie bones.

Is this not one of the cutest things? What a happy little face. My grand son will love it. He is 5 and he loves dogs. I think this would make a great Christmas present. And I think I can make different looking dogs. Like a tan face and dark brown arms, or add some small black circles for a Dalmatian .
