Lace Crochet Christmas Ornaments

Crochet up a few sets of these lovely lace Christmas ornaments. Not only will they look gorgeous on your own tree but they are also great for gifting! Each finished lace crochet Christmas ornament measures approx 6 in. in circumference. Here are the supplies you will need: Size 10 crochet thread 2 mm steel hook sewing needle and scissor for finishing fabric stiffener paint brush for application small balloons and glitter spray (this is optional for if you like a little extra sparkle)

If you remember soaking cotton string in sugar syrup, wrapping it all over a small balloon and letting it dry, then youre already familiar with at least part of this project. Although the designer calls for standard fabric stiffener, I always liked the crystalline effect left by the sugar. I have done the same thing using salt, but the crystals are more opaque than clear.
