Filet Crochet is one of the first advanced stitches that I ever learned. Hopefully I wont be needing this for several more years, but this blanket is going to my first great grandchild. My granddaughter is in her senior year of pre-med, and already has her pilots license. I know she will love it, so this one is definitely hers.

I love this airplane baby blanket. I feel like most of the baby blanket patterns out there are geared toward girls, but this one is perfect for a little boy. If you know any mothers expecting a baby boy, this would be the perfect gift for them. I think it would be perfect for my nephew, due to arrive in October.

I learned to fly when I was 14, and was absolutely plane mad. I would have loved this when my own baby--boy or girl--was born!
