Daisy Child's Crochet Skirt

"Daisy is a fashionable flared skirt perfect for the spring and summer! This skirt works as a swimsuit cover up for the beach, or as everyday wear over tight shorts or leggings. Made with Lion Brand Modern Baby yarn, this skirt can be machine washed, which is always nice for childrens clothing!! Daisy got her name because the pattern is a variation on the Juliette shawl. Juliette was named after Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Guides (which became the Girl Scouts) and her nickname was Daisy."

I made this Daisy skirt and Im so disappointed on how it turned out! I made it two times thinking I must of done something wrong or missed something. The second time I re-read the pattern and went stitch with my skirt and your written pattern. It doesnt come out anything like the pictures. This pattern has some problems for sure.. I have been crocheting for over 30 years and I have never had a pattern come out this way! What a mess, I was making this skirt to give to my Grand daughter for her birthday next month.. Not now!! I am just so thankful this was a free pattern and I didnt pay for it..

Hi Cheryl, I'm sorry you're dissatisfied with this pattern. If you click through to the designer's page where the pattern is hosted (jessieathome.com), you can ask the designer for any crochet advice or tips, as that is the best way to contact her. Good luck! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

What a darling child's skirt pattern! After reading this pattern, I love the waist. The pictures help explain the stitches for where the elastic will go later on. I like the colors and think any little or big girl would love wearing this.. It can be made in all sizes which I will be doing. The only problem I had was printing. I couldn't find the print tab, so I copied and pasted into word. Thank you for this free pattern.
