Carry Along Barn and Farm Animals

"Here's a super fun project for the kiddos. Carry Along Barn with Farm Animals. I used Red Heart Super Saver yarn. This project will require a small amount of polyfil, felt and a couple sheets of 8x10 plastic canvas. The pattern includes instructions for the Barn, a Gate, Horse Corral, Water, Bale of Hay and Farm Animals (Chick, Cow, Horse, Pig and Frog). It doesn't use a lot of any one yarn, but just a lot of colors. This project is sure to be loved by kids and would make a great gift to donate to a daycare or nursery."

This is a wonderful project but something that is going to need to live at Grandmas house. This is a very complex project in that there are so many parts and pieces to work up. I do like that all the critters are basically worked in peg style, so there arent any elaborate bits to add to the amigurumi. Theyre differentiated by various colors and some trims. No buttons, so its safe for toddlers.

The example picture is a little sideways, but thats ok I know this has happened to me on many occasions too. LOL I havent used plastic canvas in a while so I would need to brush up my skills a little before tackling this project. I bet the kiddos would get hours of enjoyment out of this one.

The plastic canvas is only cut and used in between the crochet sections to add support. So, no, actual working with it for this project.

WOW what a project this one is! I love the idea of making and giving my Grandchildren a carry along barn and farm animals. So great with this pattern that has many pictures and a well written directions for all of it! What little kid wouldn't love having this set to play with and helps them learn the farm animals. I was also thinking while reading the patterns for the animals that you can just leave them unstuffed and they can be used as finger puppets. What do you think? Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
