"This layered flower pattern is fun and easy to make. I used Caron’s Simply Soft with a 4.0mm hook but any yarn can be used with any size hook. It is created by crocheting a chain behind each petal to add on to. Can be made smaller or larger than pattern calls by creating less or more layers. This Large Petal Flower can be used as an accent flower to a scarf, cowl, shawl, or even a cute top. Add 3 or 4 flowers as a bunch to create a beautiful garden on your shawl."
Crochet HookG/6 or 4 mm hook
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

I like this style of flower but I do wish that the designer would include some photos with this post. Ive made similar flowers before where you have to work behind your previous work, and I ripped out a lot of yarn before I finally got the technique just right. The written instructions are one thing, but some photos or even video goes a long way for less experienced crafters.
