Large and Medium Bags
Free crochet patterns are fun to make when you're making something useful like these large and medium bags. You can bring these with you to the beach or hold all your school books in them. The flat bottom helps make the interior seem quite roomy. The large bag measures 7.5 inches high and 13 inches across the top. The smaller bag is 11.5 inches across at the top and 6 inches high.

I could not find any way to download the English, written pattern, for these bags. I do not work from videos so I was very disappointed. Also when something is advertised for "free" I resent having to provide my personal identification to acquire it. Opening my email address to the onslaught of junk email and spam is not free. Thanks but no thanks. No pattern is that good.

This is a nice set of bags, and you can work up either one or both. The pattern itself is available as a free download in several different languages but you do have to supply your email address to access the link. Ive gotten other patterns from this designer before and havent had any issues with supplying my address. YMMV

OMG. These bags are so cute. They're perfect as make up kits. They're also great as gifts to mom, sister, aunt or niece. Can come in different colors.

I really like these bags. It says intermediate but after reading thru it, I find it very easy. And it doesn't take that much yarn to complete. I want to make them both, embellish them with flowers and give them to a friends daughter and 7 year old grand daughter. Sort of a mommy and me gift!

In just a few short months it will be summer again. This crochet bag will be the perfect bag to bring along all of our beach stuff. At the end of the day, it can easily be washed if necessary and stowed away somewhere flat until needed again. I can crochet the big one for my hubby and the little one for me.

I adore projects like this. I know just the purpose for this bag and I can not wait to get started. I teach Sunday school and I tend to bring along instructional aides. Both of these are just perfect for me. The light color is a no go but I am glad I happened upon this pattern.

Oh my goodness, these Large and Medium Bags are simply made of double crochets which are so easy breezy to make. I can do these two bags in a day or maybe two, with the condition that there's not gonna be any interruption, no distraction. This means that I'm not gonna do anything else for one day except this project. LOL. These bags are so elegant in white. This will make for a good gift to mom, sister, aunt, friend, or son/daughter's teacher. You may do this in any other color of your choice. I think this will look fantastic in black! What do you think?

Simple and elegant design. I really love the seamless construction on these two bags. It may seem like a little thing, but it makes all the difference to the total look of the bags. These bags are so lovely and I love the style of the designer and the thoughtfulness she put into her pattern.

This pattern has been updated and now contains 3 sizes (small, medium, and large). I love how simple they are. They make great tote bags for my library trips. They are also handy for my projects, or even to hold my laptop or tablet. I can think of a lot of uses for these. I bet they would make a nice diaper bag as well. Thanks for sharing!

I really like these. I thought my days of having to carry a large purse were over but then I became a grand mother to twins. Now I have to have a bigger bag to carry all the needed supplies. This one in the larger size will be just great. Thank you so much for offering it and I had no problem finding it and downloading it to my iPad.

I actually printed this pattern a while ago, but its nowhere near finished. I might have only gotten to the base and it started to turn out very odd (which resulted in my frustration and not finishing the project). It could have been that I was fairly new to crocheting at the time and this is an intermediate level pattern. What caught my eye was the style of the bag and the seeming simplicity of the pattern. Though I got easily deterred the first time, I hope to attempt this pattern again and complete it!

There is no "pattern"-perhaps it has been removed. I've never experienced such a nightmare attempting to retrieve a pattern! Maybe remove it from your site.

Nibit2U There does not appear to be a problem with this pattern. If you click "Click here for Crochet Pattern" on our site and then go to the pattern page, there has been an update, which reads "UPDATE The pattern for the Starling Handbag is now available on the free downloads page." Please follow that link to the download page, which has 3 steps. We hope this helps you. -- Editors at AllFreeCrochet

It looks like she changed a few things around. There's another link on her blog that will take you to a video of the bag. That might be helpful.

This is the most frustrating, round about way to receive a pattern I have ever had. I did find the pattern on a pdf, but I had to search and search, before I really found it. I did review the video tutorial with "futuregirl", Alice and appreciated the instructions there. I like to have a written pattern for "future" use. I love to save patterns. Thanks so much.
