Poppi Headband

"Poppi is an easy and free headband pattern that uses very little yarn and only takes about an hour to make. The end result is a stylish addition to your winter wardrobe, but it also makes a great gift for family and friends. I love mixing up different crochet stitches to create interesting textures. By alternating single and treble crochet stitches, you can achieve the look of a bobble stitch without all the extra work."

Working up a headband is one of my favorite ways of using up ends of skeins. Ive worked this particular headband many times because I just love the texture produced by this stitch sequence. It is so simple and repetitive that I can practically work this up in my sleep. I have worked it up during a power outage while huddled around a camping lantern!

So the bobble stitch is what this is reminisent of. I could not put my finger on it, thanks mulberrygalprinces s. I love to try new crochet techniques. That is what makes crocheting so fun. There are so many end results just depending on what you do with the hook and yarn.

I've seen variations of this stitch called by several different names. I'm not sure if there even is an official one. It's a fun stitch though!

I think this is a companion piece to the Thystle beanie with the tiny side buttons. The two pieces can give a girl a full array of head warming choices for cold weather wear. It looks fun to make! Buy a bunch of Impeccable yarn in several different colors, sell them at your table at the winter craft fair! You want a project that is easy on the wallet, can make a few or more, and doesn't take all your time. This headband/ear warmer is perfect for that.

I just looked at the Thystle Beanie and I think you might be right. If anything, it's probably the leftover yarn from that project.

This is really something. It does look like a bobble stitch. I am just starting work on a purse and this caught my eye. I can use this on the front side and just do either a double or half double stitch for the back. It's not hard at all. Thank you for inspiring me.

I would consider this a great beginner project. The designer only used two basic crochet stitches that all crocheters can easily master. This basic Poppi headband is adorable and would make an excellent addition to any teen or adult wardrobe. Thanks for the free pattern.
