"The braided t-shirt headband is a stylish crochet accessory you can easily make yourself. Instead of throwing out your old t-shirts you can cut them into strips and create this chic headband. The braid pattern is also one that can be used for a variety of accessories, you could make it into a bracelet, a chocker necklace, or even a barefoot sandal- let your imagination run wild. And if you do not have old t-shirts, you can create this from super bulky yarn as well."
Crochet HookK/10.5 or 6.5 mm hook
Yarn Weight(6) Super Bulky/Super Chunky (4-11 stitches for 4 inches)

You can take this basic idea and probably use other types of yarn like a bulky chenille or a cotton decor yarn. I think the tee shirt yarn will give a great stretch and recovery, which is important for a headband because it has to stay on your head! This is a great crafting project for a youth group or something like that.

This is so easy it's ridiculous. If you can braid and tie knots you have this. I want it in different colors so I will be using thick yarn. My grand daughter has long hair and she can use these in colors to match her different out fits. Thanks for sharing!
