Poinsettia Jar Cozy

search

The Poinsettia Jar Cozy is a simple thread crochet project that is made spectacular with water color pencils. The jar cozy is made with size 10 cotton thread, and you can use any canning jar that you have. The only stitches you need to know are ch, sc, dc, and dc2tog. This is so pretty and yes, go to the designers blog and you will see better pictures. And while you are there , check out the rest of her creations. I have never done anything like this but it's so pretty and easy, I am going to give it a shot.

Before I could commit to this project, I would need a better picture that shows the entire cozy on the jar instead of the extreme close up of the stitching. The colors are pretty.

Hi Hippie Chick, If you click on through to the blogger's site you can see more photos of the project, including one at the angle you're referring to! Julia, AFC editor

Well this is something different, as it combines the art of painting and the fiber art crochet! Sometimes we want a little more variety in our crochet projects. I will admit, this poinsettia flower Mason jar cozy is so beautiful. It is colored almost like a sunset. The colors are more muted due to the watercolor pencils that are used. I have never heard of this craft! I did not know this existed until now.
