Lotus Blossom Shawl

Lotus Blossom Shawl
Lotus Blossom Shawl

"The Lotus Blossom Shawl features a unique shape that makes it both easy to crochet, and easy to wear! This 3/4 circle might remind you a bit of Pac-Man - and it’s this shape that makes it stay put over the shoulders, keeping you securely wrapped in crochet love! This shawl was made using Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball Metallic in Lotus Blossom - a gorgeous self-striping yarn of purples and greens and a bit of blue, depending on the light, with sparkly thread run throughout. It’s stunning, but I know any Shawl in a Ball colorway will look great in this pattern! Pick up 2 balls of your favorites and you’ll be ready to make this free crochet shawl pattern!"

This is a twist on a typical shawl. I love the circular form instead of the traditional triangle. There are a lot of rows to complete but they are well written. I am sure I can get this made even if there are not any pictures to go along with the directions.

This Lotus Blossom shawl is really different for the ones that I have been seeing. With this type of yarn it really looks like a lot of yarn color change was going on but it didn't. From the link I views, if lotus blossom is not your color there are more to choose from.

I really love the half circle shape of this shawl, especially since most of the designs for shawls are triangle. But, the yarn chosen is what really makes this shawl so stunning. I truly love the way the Lion Brand Shawl in A Ball blends as it stripes, and the colors are gorgeous. It is also designed with a 6.5 mm hook which makes it drape so well. This would also be lovely made as a smaller shawlette and it would use less yarn.
