Just like the author, I love capelets and ponchos and everything of its kind. I love the idea of this type of clothing covering the entire chest area down to the elbow or down to the wrist if you want it longer. The stitches used here are easy to do, just alternating shell and V stitches. Go ahead, it you want to make your own capelet, you may use this pattern. Cheers!

This capelet does indeed look like a bell. I am just wondering if it stays in place when you move your arms around or if it works itself up to your neck and stays on top of your shoulders if you are active and use your arms around a lot? The design looks like it would ride up. Cute concept though if you dont move around much.

I like that this capelet/cowl uses an "I" hook because that means it's got a nice big open stitch to the finished product. I also like that we are given adjustments to make the pattern bigger, to accommodate bustier gals. I love the gray dress and the mustard cape- good combination. This would be awesome in the fall with a long tunic and leggings or a simple dress.
