With just five total skeins of Caron Simply Soft yarn to crochet this entire granny square super scarf, I would say it is a nice gifting project for you that won't break the bank. I am a huge fan of this yarn for the softness, squishiness, sheen and drape to it. You won't be disappointed! What a great design, too

LOVE this scarf! The retro look of the huge granny squares works so well in this super length scarf that I just have to start making myself one right NOW, lol. And the pattern is easy so anyone can make it. Today was the first day here in Cape Town, South Africa, when I could feel in the air that our summer really is coming to an end. The days are still hot but the temp dropped quite quickly this evening and this gorgeous scarf is going to wonderful to wear in the coming winter!

I'm giving this oversized scarf a 4-star rating for the design, for the stitch used. I like how the scarf hangs loose on the sides, it actually looks groovy when paired with a long coat. It gives the impression of authority and strength. However, I don't like the use of granny squares in this scarf. They are too big for the design. I'd rather use small squares in case I want to do this project in the future. Thanks for the free pattern

I'm not sure why, but I love this Oversized Grannies Super Scarf! I'm not a fan of making all the granny squares and putting them together, but this pattern looks great! The colors in the pattern are so nice looking. This pattern has changed my mind on making the granny squares.. The pattern is very well written and so easy to follow. I can say I see a few of these being made for this up coming winter.. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.
