If you are not familiar with the knit stitch there is a video tutorial included with this pattern. The video is under four minutes and is very clear in how to crochet the stitch. I think I am going to like working with this tubular yarn.

I have not seen this yarn in the local hobby stores yet. I see that this line is a tubular yarn. I am sure baskets are great to make with this type of yarn. I am curious to know how this will work up in an afghan. To make any item with this material I will have to make a purchase of a size 9mm hook.

This designer specializes in adorable amigurumi, so this basket would be just the thing to store them in. Because its also worked in yarn, theres no danger of snagging like with a wicker or similar type of basket. You will need to use one of the larger yarns like the Bernat Blanket as I dont think doubling up on regular worsted will work in this case.
