We have a joke in our family that if were not descended from a particular nationality, one of us in married into it. Ive seen similar motifs in many of our ancestral costumes, so it was a joy to find this project. The designer takes the crafter step by step with text and photos through the bulk of the project. At the bottom of the instructions is a link to a free .pdf, too. I love this pattern!

This folk art wall hanging looks like it would be quite difficult to make, but in reviewing the pattern, it's just double crochets and cluster stitches combined with chains and spaces. There's plenty of color changes to keep you interested in the process! What a lovely project for springtime. I am going out to stock up on yarn!
