This is a great pattern for beginners. Not only is it easy to work, but the designer provides several photos to show exactly how the different parts should be worked. This is so helpful for beginners because most arent experienced enough to visualize a written pattern. Check out some of the other free patterns on this site. Ive made the holly leaves and they are amazingly realistic.

These spring blossom coasters are so adorable. The slightly muted spring colors add a subtle touch of class that my kitchen table needs this time of year. Coasters work up quickly and use up little yarn, so they are a great rainy day project where I don't have to spend an arm and a leg!
