Lucky the Chihuahua Dog Amigurumi
Lucky the Chihuahua Dog Amigurumi

‘LUCKY’, the Chihuahua dog amigurumi was created for my friend. Her dog, Lucky, passed away in 2012. I know that Lucky will stay forever in her heart and now, forever with her in amigurumi form. Please note the pattern is written specifically for Lucky and therefore, the design on the head resembles very closely to Lucky. You will need to modify some stitches to accommodate other Chihuahuas :)

Easy

Crochet HookH/8 or 5 mm hook

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Im making this up right now for one of my granddaughters who like Doris friend, lost her long time beloved pet. Katies dog was a Papillion, so the only change Ill be making is to the distinctive ears that mark the breed. This pattern is very easy to read, and the designer gives wonderful instructions for assembly. Bonus points for .pdf download, too!

I would like to try to crochet anything Amigurumi, but I am afraid to try it. Are there any video tutorials on Allfreecrochet.com? I think this puppy is really cute and I would like to make one or two for a friend of mine that has two Chihuahua's. Is there a beginner's type of Amigurumi that is easier to learn?

I really must leArn that once I find a pattern and down load it, to turn off the computer and walk away. But no, I keep looking. I had just gotten a pattern for a Yorkie pup when I saw this. I can't resist. It's going to look like a branch of the SPCA in my house!

I made this for my daughter because her little Luke puppy looks similar to this one so I changed the pattern a little to make it look like him.

Okay this is really cute, but I'm sure if I attempted it, it would look like a freakish alien-dog hybrid. I'll have to revisit this pattern once I've gotten better!
