Crochet Holiday Spirit Headband

“This pattern is designed in 2 sizes, child/teen and adult. This headband is a very easy project to crochet. It is worked flat and then seamed. The knot is added separately after you have completed the initial headband. It is easy to make this larger or smaller, both in length and height. The stitch pattern (Houndstooth or Hounds Tooth) is worked in multiples of 2. Have fun with the colors and make it festive for any special occasion (orange and black for Halloween or green and white for St. Patty’s Day). It would even make a cute headband for Canada Day!

You may also omit the cinched part of the headband and the knot altogether. Simply disregard the instructions included to make the band narrower and whipstitch the two sides of the band together to make yourself an ear warmer instead. If you are making it into an ear warmer I recommend you leave on long tail of each color to allow you to seamlessly seam the edges together for each color you use in the band. To make the band height taller, you will need to work approximately 2 extra rows of the stitch pattern for each additional inch in height you would like. You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern – just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different. Have fun with your yarn!”

Very cute holiday headband. I just picked up red and white yarn today while I was out shopping because I knew I would always be able to use those two colors with the Christmas season coming up so quickly. I also bought extra just because it was on sale. This is a great little pattern to make.
