NotesBy changing to a Chunky (5) yarn and a J/ 6.00 mm crochet hook you can stitch up a bigger Heart doily that measures 10 X 10. and it makes a great place mat.

These are just gorgeous, and Im so glad the designer posted instructions for two different sizes. That tells me that if I drop down another two hook sizes, I can go from an 8 inch heart to a 6 inch version. As for the 10 inch version, I have some plans for that one, too. The excellent step by step photos almost make the instructional video redundant!

The heart doily is a great find with it being so close to Valentines Day. These dont have to only be used for Valentines though. If you like heart dcor, with a few tweaks then these would be easy to use as dishcloths, potholders, washcloths, mandalas, or appliques.
