This Newborn Braided Ear Flap Hat will look adorable used as a photo prop for your little one. If baby wears this crochet hat during the winter be careful of the braided ties. Don't add the floral embellishment and this hat can be worn by a boy or girl. Use fun colors to get fabulous stripes.

where did the pattern go?

So hard to print the pattern. Well at least I am having trouble .

@yellowrose55: We suggest that you go to the page and highlight the text, then right-click on it. You'll get a window that gives you the option to "copy." Do that, and then paste the text into a word document. You should be able print that document that way. Another option is to highlight exactly what you would like to be printed. Then, select print from your dropdown menu, and change your print range from all to selection. Hope this helps! -- Editor of AllFreeCrochet

I think I just might make this for friends granbaby. And j7letter originals. ALL my babies wore hats with ties. Made many for friends and family with ties. No trajedies ever.

I am disappointed that in order to get this pattern I have to download crap that overtakes my browser and makes changes to my hard drive :(

You don't have to click on that "open pdf" link. The pattern is down lower on the page. Just scroll down and you will see it. Hope this helps. It is an adorable project.

I think while cute my first thought was the danger to a newborn with those braids. Sure you say be careful if your little one is actually wearing it but come on! Maybe either leave off the braids or make them only a couple inches long to avoid those awful tragedies we hear about. just saying!

I think it is adorable and what I love the most is the cute little noggin it will go on!

What do you think? I love the colors and I have done one with sport yarn but I really didn't like working with that kind of yarn. I also done one with kids celebration yarn and I wasn't fawn of that kind of yarn either but I love the pattern though.

Absolutely adorable. I might just have to learn how to crochet.

Very cute, and one of the newest styles that everyone is wearing...

Love this hat...if you leave the flower off and make it some other colors, it could easily be adapted for a boy. Great pattern.
