Spectacular Star Trivet

search

"This star crochet pattern can be used as a trivet or a centerpiece. If your gauge is the same as mine, I have marked where to stop the pattern for the trivet, or you can go all the way to the end to make the centerpiece. However, you do not have to match my gauge for this pattern to work. It will just be a different size. Please remember to stay safe: don't use meltable yarn for a trivet, and this pattern is not intended to be used as a potholder."

No matter if you call it a trivet or a doily this is a spectacular piece. This would be a great 4th of July decoration for any table. Would this not be impressive if you set the table with one red, white and blue. Time is a wasting. If you get started now, you have plenty of time to get it done before the 4th of July.

Table settings can really be spruced up by what you lay out. During the 4th this would be a great addition to any table to show your love of country spirit.

I would love this on my breakfast table, with a basket of muffins perched on top. I am a sucker for centerpieces, as well as garlands and cowl scarfs. This "Spectacular Star Trivet" seems pretty simple to work up and should be one of those projects that are a near instant gratification. It would be nice to make one in blue and white as well, for a nice set to give as a gift to a real patriotic family member or friend.
