cute

I think this is a wonderful idea. It would be a great top to wear after a shower too. Just something to lounge around in. The directions are very well written and easy to follow. Even a beginner should be able to understand them. Thank you for offering this great project.

From a top to a beach cover up the uses for the kaftan are limitless. I like the idea of Delphine Bryant to wear it as a dress if a few more rows are added. With this being a pattern made with four equal pieces I suppose adding additional rows to increase the length will work.

Yes, blog with free pattern loaded for me also with no problems. Love the color combinations used that gives this piece such a summery look. This crochet top pattern is super easy to make, so go pick your favorite yarn colors. I am glad the designer started us off with spring and summer theme colors.

The link for the crochet pattern worked for me today. I can not wait to make this sherbet kaftan top. Being a full figured gal, I like to have items like this in the wardrobe as it can serve several uses. My first though, to crochet it a little longer and wear as a dress.

Tried to download pattern and the link is broken

Hi there, I just checked the "Click here for crochet pattern" link above and it works just fine, taking me to the blogger's page with the pattern. Maybe try again? Thanks! Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

Thank you so much for this pattern! Kaftans are great and I would love to have a crocheted one. Have found a lovely blue in my yarn stash so am going to do a single color one first and then do a multi color one later. The slight open work pattern of this one is so nice and it is still going to be good for cooler evenings.

And its Maz for the win again. I am a fan of her work and this is just one of the many winning items she has designed. This I wish that I had her gift for designing. This sherbet kaftan top looks like a tub of rainbow sherbet. Will work great as a pool or beach cover up.

Aww, I really like this kaftan tunic. I would do it in sand and sea colors or even in a crisp solid white. Very cool poolside. But- I am upset at the designer for not being able to offer plus sized pattern changes for those of us who need it. It's got to be something other than "use a bigger hook size and chunkier yarn".

just checked, she does offer the pattern up to 3XL for little fee
