I know there is such a thing as overkill but I did find a coatagain pattern that I plan on making and this granny square skirt will complete the ensemble. I am happy that I found this before I went out to purchase the material for the coatagain so now I can get enough to complete them both.

This crochet pattern for the granny square skirt could not be more simple. My concern is how will the skirt stay up. I see that buttons have been added. If anyone has any info in regards to this aspect of the pattern, I would greatly appreciate the comments.

I actually made these granny squares to attempt to construct the skirt as shown. I chose vibrant colors in purples hot pink, deep turquoise, fresh green, and other colors. After I made all of them I changed my mind and turned it into a super long granny square scarf. That was probably about 12-15 years ago. I still have the scarf. I still wear it. I get lots of compliments on it. But I still wish to make this skirt!
