"Meet Dexter, my little green dinosaur. He stands 6.7 inches tall, and he is 13 inches long. If you want to make him, here is what you need: crochet hook (4mm/US G), 2 yarns in contrasting colors (Aran weight), 2 safety eyes (6mm), stuffing, and a tapestry needle. This pattern uses US terminology."

He looks like a Dexter. I love this pattern. I want to make one of these for every dino lover I know (which is actually everyone).

Dinosaurs continue to fascinate children and adults alike, but Dexter caught my attention for a different reason. If you read though the pattern, youll see that his legs are constructed very differently from most amigurumi. Its a bit tricky, but the designer has provided a wonderfully detailed set of photos showing exactly how to work this part of the pattern. Dont be intimidated give Dexter a try.

Oh Barbara, why did you have to post this for me to see ? I was done making animals for this year. Then I saw a whale so I made an exception. Now I see this little darling. How did you know my grand daughter loves dinosaurs ? I think I can justify making it, to myself by making it as a Christmas gift and putting it in in the box in the closet.
