Oh My Snowflake!

"Oh My Snowflake is the perfect pattern to whip up in just a few minutes. Consisting of chains, single crochets, slip stitches, and one extended double crochet, it works up in only 3 quick rounds. Not only can you make earrings, but this also pattern also works up into perfect hanging ornaments / holiday decor in no time at all. Use ANY size yarn or thread and hook to create a variety of snowflake sizes! HINT: This pattern does require blocking / stiffening to maintain its snowflake shape. I use Aleene’s Stiffen Quik Spray."

Crochet Hook6 or 1.8 mm hook (steel), 7 or 1.65 mm hook (steel), 8 or 1.5 mm hook (steel)

Yarn Weight(0) Lace (33-40 stitches to 4 inches). Includes crochet thread.

Crochet Gauge3 rounds = 1.75" - 2" in size 10 thread with 1.75mm hook

Finished Size1.75" - 2.5" in thread

Materials List

• Approximately 12-15 yards of size 8 embroidery thread or size 10 or 20 crochet thread (you can also use yarn for a larger ornament)
• 1.65-1.8 mm hook (you choose the hook that works best for you)
• Needle for weaving in ends
• 2 fish hook ear wires
• Flat nose pliers
  
• Aleene’s Stiffen Quik or any brand clear-drying fabric stiffening spray
• Wax paper
