I love these elephant bookends. They are too cute, and they would make a great gift for any occasion. Do you know anyone who would like to receive these? I have a few friends that would like them, for sure! If you are not a reader, I am sure you could use them for a different decoration.

This is a fun project! Depending on what color yarn you wish to use, you could work this up as Babar or a circus elephant for a young child, gray for your favorite young naturalist, and even patriotic colors for someone of one particular political persuasion. It has gotten me thinking about what other critters might find a place on my bookshelf.

I am still laughing out loud to myself at this one. When I read the title I assumed it would be two elephnt heads. I almost passed it up thinking how dull. Then I saw it. The read end sticking out of the book tickled my funny bone to no end and now I have to make them. Thank you for such a cute, amusing and practical idea.
