This is a pretty sunny day dishcloth. No matter what color you select to make this dishcloth it will add a touch of flair to the kitchen. I am partial to the color yellow in the kitchen because it does brighten up the space. My Mom always had yellow splashes in the kitchen and it make the kitchen seem less dreary.

Measuring 8 by 8 is a good size dishcloth. I would not hesitate to hang this doll of a dishcloth up to dry between use. It is almost like artwork for the kitchen. I love the sunny yellow. I just happen to have a few skeins but not in yellow. I have a blue and a beige. I think I will start with the blue and see if I like it enough to make a second.

I love making my own dishcloths and washcloths. I dont know why, but there is just something about the ones I make myself that give me the feeling that I have visited a spa. Weird? I know. They are so easy to make and so easy to customize. I have not made this yet, but this pattern looks like it could also be used as a Mandala for your table.

So darn cute and makes me feel happy! Does that mean I will no longer hate washing dishes? Ha! I would also like to add some surface crochet right along those front post and back post crochets, in a darker color like an orange, to make the rays really pop!
