"This Christmas stocking has lots of texture and a pretty knit-look cuff. I made one with pompoms and one without and I love them both. The body of the stocking is worked in bean stitch and the heel and toe are integrated as the stocking is worked from top to bottom. Fill it with goodies for a special someone and celebrate the holidays in style. The pattern is available in two sizes (Small/Large) Designed in worsted weight yarn"

This may look like a mere Christmas ornament but you will need to be familiar with actual sock making techniques. The designer provides a link to another sock project. If you are new to making socks or stockings I highly recommend you watch her tutorial video at the link. You might want to work a practice swatch of that Bean Stitch too.
