Hey, what do you mean older moms or grandmothers??? I love Ribbon Candy, too, but its all I can do to keep the grandchildren from devouring a boxful whenever they come to visit. I usually try to stock up at Christmas because I enjoy it any time of year. I triple wrap and vacuum seal the stuff to keep it fresh. Looks like Ill be making a few of these scrapbusters for the grandchildren, too.

What a thoughtful gift to your dear grandmother or older mother who most likely grew up enjoying the classic ribbon candy. They will appreciate your handmade ornaments because usually by this point in their lives they will tell you they already have everything and to "please don'e get me anything"! Seeing these will most likely spark a memory for them. These ribbon candies seem easy to make and probably take no time at all to work up a few.

This is something I want to make for myself. My mom loved ribbon candy and every Christmas I got it for her. Her birthday was on Christmas so she always got sorta left out as far as parties or even presents. She has been gone for a long time now but I still think of her especially when I se ribbon candy. I think when I take the Christmas flowers to her grave I may add a few of these in with them. Thank you so much for sharing.
