I love this beanie and I think I may already have this exact yarn in my stash! Unlike most beanie patterns Ive made in the past, this one is actually worked flat in order to achieve the vertical striped effect of the texture. After you seam the rectangle up and gather the crown, you attach your yarn and work the brim in the round. Although the designer doesnt specify it, I usually drop down a hook size or two for the brim as that makes a snugger fit.

I like the color of this Simply Effortless Beanie. For a veteran crocheter, it's true that making this beanie is effortless. Very easy to make. I also like the color used here which is fashionably appropriate for Fall until the Winter months. I like the neat stitches used on the edges of the beanie.

My favorite type of pattern = effortless! The colors of this beanie remind me of Fall leaves. I see a contributor uploaded a pic of the beanie she made, and it is spot on to the one in the pattern. Kudos to both of you for doing such a good job.

Very different pattern. It's made flat and the brim added last. Definitely a one skein wonder and there is a poncho to match according to the write up but I couldn't find it on the site. Will look again when I go to make it. Also like to name Effortless Chic. Makes you feel special doesn't it?

It's about time to replace my son's beanie! He tends toward the warmer colors like this magenta-gold. I'm rather a novice so the last several of the listed stitches I'll need to look up to have a go at I'm sure. I've also never shaped a beanie like this one so that will make it interesting. Alysanne the Effortless Chic Poncho is on the site under "free patterns. They would indeed make a very cute match!

Awesome pattern! I worked in an orange ombre cotton and it turned out beautiful!
