"A cute hat for little baby boys! Instructions are included for stripes in two variations. This pattern is good for using some scraps, because the stripes don’t take a whole lot of yarn. Cotton or soft worsted weight yarn is recommended so that baby's head isn't subjected to scratchy yarn. Sizes are included for Newborn to 6-12 Months. Newborn size is recommended just for preemies and for brand-new babies (ei: going home from the hospital). The newborn size will not fit a healthy baby for very long!"

This beanie pattern is so easy to follow. I see so many patterns for hats or beanies for little girls, but this is perfect for little boys. My sister is due with a boy in October, and this would be the perfect gift for him. It will keep his little head warm all winter!

Sometimes its nice to just get back to basics, and this beanie pattern is a great way to do just that. This is a wonderful Beginner project, too, because the pattern is simple, repetitive, and only requires a minimal number of color changes. I wouldnt even bother finishing off the main color for Version 1. Version 2 is a bit more challenging but still a great practice piece.

This is just what I needed. A basic, simple, easy boy beanie that doesn't take a lot of yarn. It's perfect. I have three grand sons that are heading to a folder climate and they can really use these. And grandma doesn't mind making them with a pattern as easy as this one.
