Oh this is the pattern I have been looking for! My Jack Russel gets terrified during thunderstorms and the fancy thunder jackets are so expensive. My husband has been tying a scarf around the dog in an intricate way and that seems to work to calm him, but this would just be so much better.

I can see using this as a harness on a small dog (like the Chihuahuas in the illustrations), but theres no way with my 40 pound plus hounds! Knowing this, the author only provides instructions for small dogs. I do like that she used D rings so as not to catch the dogs fur. Wonderfully clear instructions, and lots of photos. I can see making these for a craft saleshould be good sellers.

As an Aussie owner, I get how bigger dogs can be more forceful and this harness is just not meant for them. My dog is a beast on the leash and this would rip right off him. The reason there is not a bigger size range is for the dog's safety because it could easily be worn and stretched. So I will definitely be making this for my dachshund but not for the aussie.
