If anyone's still looking for a written pattern, google Gleeful Things Waffle Cone Slouchy Hat. Very similar to a snood - if you make the band a little tighter it will work just fine.

I never see a snood without thinking about WWII. My mom has just started first grade when the war broke out so she never wore a snood, but I have several photos of my then teenaged aunt wearing snoods along with her Victory Curls. Its kind of a shame that these went out of fashion. Snoods are actually quite practical and a lot more attractive than a hair net.

I can't follow videos. I need written instructions.

I want patterns I can print, not videos.

Hi wyldchyrll, We have plenty of other patterns on our site - feel free to browse through our categories on the left or use our search bar up top to search for the type of pattern you want. :) Julia, editor for AllFreeCrochet

I'm new to this site and can't view the video. Any help is appreciated.

I WATCHED THE VIDEO AGAIN, AND I WROTE DOWN THE PATTERN TO FOLLOW.....MUCH EASIER THAT WAY/

i tried to follow the video but it was hard keeping up. i couldnt understand how to do the increase or anything i would really love a written pattern or for some one to remake the video.. zoom out go slower and explain things!

If this pattern is not available to print for portability why put it up? The video is ok but not too great for working the project. I don't sit at my computer with thread and hook in hand. It'd be nice to print out the pattern.

I'm just going to go and look for a written pattern. A snood is a snood they're all the same.

I enjoyed the video very much but I am in agreement with the others. I need a written pattern to carry with me to meetings and waiting for appointments, etc. I am eager to make this for a friend as a surprise. Thank you so much.

After watching the video and making this snood, I can see that you really don't need a pattern but if there is one, I would still like to have it for future use in making more snoods I really like this snood and an see that it would be easy to springboard off of this pattern and make more with different stitches, drawstrings, edging, etc. so thank you for this video. Somehow I accidentally thumbs down this video. I will try to fix it but it wouldn't allow me to at the time. I'm sorry. Laurie

Like everybody else, I would love a written version to this snood/hat thing. Love it and the yarn used too.

how do we get the pattern of the holiday snood written instead of viewing????

Beautiful pattern! Very easy to follow, but would it be possible to get a pattern emailed to me? I agree that it is very portable, but I also need to take the pattern with me. Could I please get a pattern emailed to me at spiderlady56@hotmail.com ? Thank you so much for the tutorial!

Loved the video. I would also like the pattern. Is there anyway you could send it to me? My email address is tobiandstevehewens@gmail.com Thank you so much :-)

I enjoyed the video but would like the pattern. I have trouble hearing so I found it hard to follow, this looks like a great idea to make for our senior friends. I rate this project and the video O a 5 +

could you please send me a copy of the pattern. thank you

i need a copy for this pattern

I enjoyed watching the video but it is also nice to see a written pattern to get a complete understanding. Please email me a written pattern if you have one. littleone@centurylink.net THANKS Helen

This may be something that cooks can do to keep hair out of food.

I will make this in many different colors. I have friends at the Senior Center who wears them, and they will love them. Thank you for sharing. Continue making the tutorials. I learn from them each time I watch them!

Very beautiful .Nice job are you also on ytube

I have a daughter that is a police officer and has to wear her hair up all the time for work I wonder if one of these will work? Going to try.

Great pattern but mine is not coming out flat as she stated with the increases. Please help.

Hi parazetta Smith, Unfortunately, we only have the video version of this pattern for right now. -Editors of AllFreeCrochet

Where can I get this pattern to print out? I think it's a great little project to take with you , I would love to have the printed pattern. Thanks

I just watch the tutorial and take notes. Hope this is helpful.

I adore this snood I've never made one and I have long thick hair that clips won't entirely hold in place One thing I would have like to have seen was how to put the snood on Sounds kind of stupid but I don't know if you wrap your hair at the bottom and slip it on or throw you head over and catch it in the snood Never having used one I am clueless But I will definitely make one of these and even use the PARTY yarn which I just love and am using for a shawl Out here in far west TX it is SO hot this year that my hair is driving me crazy keeps me hot unless I put it up I might make one of these tonight I love your videos Fayme You are so friendly and down to earth you make everything seem likeRead More fun

I love this site so much info. I haven't done needle work for so many year and i'm so excited to make things for my Grand babies and teach them also when they come to visit.

I Love it! I have an elderly friend that I am Always taking to appointments, what an easy craft to be able to pick up and go. AND, wow! What great gifts, easy to make for all occasions! Now, how do I adjust it for my short hair? That will be an adventure I can't wait to figure out! Thank You SO MUCH!

Thank you so much! Such a great project. Making several for Christmas gifts. thanks, donna

What fun!! It would look great in gold metallic yarn or gold and white on your dark hair. I might make one for every dressy outfit I own.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It really helps to have a visual guide when making something on the "fly".

Hi is there any directions for this snood. I just love it and want to make some for my DIL and GD. thanks for all your videos. Pattie

This was very easy to make . I made two for my daughter, and she loves them . I plan to make some for my granddaughters also.

As an avid Gone With The Wind fan, I LOVE snoods! This one is very pretty & the video is very easy to follow. Thank you Fayme!

I enjoyed this tutorial very much.I have never made a snood, but now I am anxious to do so. I think the snood she made is very pretty

This worked up quite easily. I loved it! Now I can use up the TONS of leftover yarns I have and donate these to the Salvation Army around Christmas as well as our local womens shelter. This makes me feel like I can do a little something for the less fortunate in our community.

It will be easy to do with this video! Thank for this tuto!

Great video! The snood looks easy enough to make and is very pretty!

Great tutorial. I have a friend who does reenactments I would love to make one for.

Sems simple enough for even me to make it. Can't wait to try it.

I think the video was great...They help me when I get stuck....The ssnood is easy & beautiful as well! Sometimes I wish women still dressed...like the used to. (snoods, hats, gloves, dresses)...proper! Thanks Faymee for your video & great work! I will be making some!

I have been looking for snood patterns. I think a snood would be great when I'm driving in my car with the sunroof and windows open in the nice weather. I've always been so annoyed with my hair whipping in my face and considered wearing a hat or scarf. A hat would be just too warm, and a scarf flattens my curly hair. This tutorial made it seem so easy (no real pattern to follow) and would be great for finishing off extra yarn. Love it! Can't wait to try it out!

This was such an easy video to follow. I have been looking for something to make my adult daughter who is Jewish and must cover her hair. I think this will be perfect and different for such a styling young lady. It helps to have someone with a calming voice teach it too, so when you get frustrated it's reassuring. Thanks for the great video. These will make great gifts:)

that was a fantastic How To ,,,it was easy and very simple...self explaned will try making one very soon
