I work from home and I log out of work at midnight just about every day I work. I don't have any trouble getting in the bed and getting to sleep but because I need to sleep in, I do tend to wake up early if I am not careful about darkening my room. This would be an added level of security to keep the sunrise at bay.

I do not need a mask to go to sleep, I am the person that needs it because when I wake up I have a hard time going back to sleep. I like the mask idea and had not thought of making one until I ran across this post. I knew my time surfing through All Free Crochet would yield something great.

This is such a cute project, and what an idea for a craft sale! These handy scrapbusters could be worked up in any number of colors, too. The eyes dont have to be sleepy either. What fun to make the eyes surprised, sexy, winking, etc. The designer gives such clear instructions, too. That instructional video is wonderful for all sorts of other projects, too.

This Sleepy Owl Mask is great and just what I need. I am happy to see how easy it is to make and with the fleece backing it will be so smoothing. Not only will I make this for myself but for the other women in my like. Woo couldn't use a beautiful Owl sleep mask? Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet sleep mask pattern.

What a super cute idea for someone who has everything already! Give this easy to make crochet mask along with some lavender oil in a fancy spray bottle to make a great unique gift. The mask IS lined with a fleece backing, so no, you will not have the "scratchy" acrylic yarn against your face.

I love this! My daughter is a Harry Potter nut and I think this would be an adorable stocking stuffer for next Christmas. I don't know that she would ever use it to sleep, but she would probably think it was a fun mask.

This sleep mask is super sweet, however, I feel like the acrylic yarn would make the mask itself much too scratchy to actually use while sleeping. I would suggest using a cotton yarn instead. Cotton is much softer and very absorbent, unlike acrylic yarns can be. Even backing the mask with some flannel would work.

Most user unfriendly site I have been on

i forgot to add that for the backing i used some soft fleece that lined an old jacket my little girl grew out of, & re-purposed elastic salvaged from old pair of sweats. worked like a charm...

made one for my husband in manly black. "so soft on the inside and really comfortable!" fun, easy quick project!

This is soooo cute I really want to make this I hope it is easy for me

Too cute!

I have made several, I used silk as the backing as the felt was a bit scratchy, I made some with 1 eye open, just crochet a smaller circle in black with a thinner yarn

This is a great pattern, works up fast and so easy!

This is what I call adorable! I will making for the busy moms on my gift list
