I couldn't get it to download either. The photo of the ball ornament just kept going from plain red ball to crochet covered ball. Nothing happened when I double clicked on the ball, the text, etc. I was disappointed.

everytime that I try to get to the free download, it takes me to a website for Payloadz, a site that wants me to sign up to sell downloads, how do I get past this to the pattern???

I think your computer was just warning you that files can be harmful, not that this one is corrupted. I just downloaded it without any problems, my anti-virus scanned it and found it to be fine. That said - I can't wait to try this pattern. I haven't used this thread before, but the end product looks beautiful.
