This design is not for an ornament, but rather is a topper for a Christmas ornament beanie. The instructions are a little tricky fortunately, the author provides a number of step by step photos. She also provides a link to a free hat pattern that can be used with this project. I suppose it would also work on an oversized crocheted ornament or light bulb. I can see a few of these as part of a display
