This Easy Wrist Pouch is a great idea! This is a must make for my family who camps and hikes all the time. The kids will love this wrist pouch. I like that I learned a new stitch with is one as well. The Linked Double Crochet stitch is a great tight stitch that I will use in other patterns. There is a nice video showing just how to do it. Thank you so much for teaching a old dog a new trick. I like the idea of using the magnetic snaps for the closures, nice and hidden. but I'm sure you need to sew them on nice and tight so they don't pull off. I'm looking forward to making this one. Thank you so much for sharing this free crochet pattern.

This is such a great idea. I could make this for a bunch of different people in my family, especially to carry when they run! There are so many colors of yarn, it would be easy to customize this pattern for anyone. I love that there are so many ways you can make this your own.

This is a handy little scrapbuster, and can be used for a girl or a boy since its very similar to a watchband. The way its assembled and sewn together, it would be so easy to add some cute features to make it look like a monster or other fantasy critter with a wide open mouth. These would make adorable items for a craft fair, too. Theyre quick, inexpensive to make, and unique.

For those of you in the know, what would be the benefit (if any) to using a linked double crochet versus just a double crochet? I watched the video tutorial for this stitch, and honestly it is not hard. I think with a linked double crochet you might use up more yarn than usual, so watch for that.

If you've worked the Star Stitch, you already have the basic concept for the Linked stitches. It does make for a more solid fabric.
