This is a cute pattern. I live in Florida and these can be worn year around. I disagree with a previous commenter, if you use rug yarn they will really last and the pattern is complete. It's missing one word at the end, the word glue. These are a great project!

I just have to make these for myself. I love summer shoes including flip flops and I would spend a mint on them if I had it. By making my own, I can have a pair to match any mood for around the house. Where I live, I am sure I will be getting a lot of request to make some for them as well.

I have seen the posts to flip a store bought pair of flip flops. This is the first time that I have seen that you can make a complete pair from yarn. I guess these would be like a pair of baby booties upgraded for an adult. I have already placed my order for the necessary yarn to make these, lol.

These are quite unique. The pattern is for a womansshoe sizes but not half sizes. I am hoping that my attempt of making a pair to fit a size 8.5 womans shoe will be a success. If it is, then I want to make one in a mans size also. Im not really sure we will wear them but can always wear them on the patio at home.

I suppose these would be alright for in the house or cottage, but unless you treated the bottom with some sort of protective coating, and did something to firm up the sole a bit, these would not fair well outside at all. The end of the pattern seems to be missing as well. It trails off mid sentence.

Finely a pattern for me! I love this Crochet Summer Flip Flops Pattern! I've made them for the grand kids but now some for me! The pattern is so well written I can't wait to make them.. maybe a few pair in different colors. I'm thinking of doubling the pattern for the soles so it will be thicker and softer on the feet. Thank you for sharing this great free pattern.
