Anyone who says granny squares are plain and boring, you just go around and around, hasn't seen this one yet! I have made many, many squares over my 50 years of crocheting but this is very unique and yet it is very easy. Imagine thus hanging on the wall above your headboard? Beautiful!

Im always looking for unusual flowers to add something special to my other projects, and this interesting blossom has just found a place in my pattern collection. I considered making one up in a solid color like the pink example, but I really like the multicolored ones better. The individual colors accentuate the layers better than the solid. It looks like a complicated pattern but its really fairly easy.
