Crochet Preemie Hat

search

This unisex crochet preemie hat is quick to make and very easy to work up. It is the perfect size for a premature infant. I have also included directions for full-term newborns. Leave plain for a boy or add a pretty flower for a tiny baby girl. I designed this crochet preemie hat for the NICU Crochet Challenge, hosted by Bonnie of Sunset Crochet. When Bonnie approached me about donating a crochet preemie hat, I immediately said yes.

I have several patterns for preemie beanies but Im always happy to find more. Unfortunately, our local NICU doesnt accept donations for use in the unit, but they will take them to send home with the new parents. Ive also donated some to the Womens Resource Center and local clothing banks. Area food pantries are also a good place to ask about as some of them are doing coat drives right now.
