I understand the principle behind the Evil Eye, but really, does this look evil to you? It certainly doesnt to me. In fact, I think depending on how you scale it up or down, it would make a wonderful eye for an amigurumi project. Eyes are the hardest thing for me to get right. The designers easy to follow photo tutorial is a great start for my other projects.

I would love to make one of these Illuminati eyes! Just kidding, evil eye. They seem to be very popular as of late. Let's see, what could I use this for? I know they are meant to be an applique, but I have this idea in my head. What about if I bought a plain bright colored canvas make-up bag or pencil bag, or a small canvas coin purse with a zipper, and sewed this applique on it? Pretty fun!

This evil eye applique will have so many different uses for me. It is so easy to understand the pattern instructions and will take hardly any time to make plus it uses so little yarn that it makes a great stash buster also. These evil eyes are at their all-time high in popularity. They have been around a while though.
