Gee, she is right, there sure are no holes in this piece that I can see! It is nice and closed up, each stitch fills the space up nicely. At first glance it resembles a kind of basket weave stitch, I think. It is a pretty color, too. I think I would even take it a step further and maybe do a spa white (wide) stripe in there, too, for a modern flair.

Im not sure why this is called the Tulip Stitch, but I do like the designers stipulation when choosing itit is completely reversible and doesnt have any holes. At 7 inches square, its the perfect size for doing dishes, but the designer provides the necessary information to make it either smaller or larger. The last two rows echo the first two, but the bulk is a one row repeat.
