Yes, I could see that leaving this out in the rain is a bad idea. It may be a bad idea to have this outside at all here in Florida. I think I will be better off having it in my picture window next to our door and hang it from a suction cup hook. Very cute idea. I have never seen anything like it.

Oddly enough, I learned how to work filet crochet before making my first doily. This sweet sign is very easy to work (the designer has provided a graph), but as its an older project, theres no instructional video. If you have never worked filet before, find some YouTube videos on the subject. Btw, the link to the Ravelry download doesnt seem to exist anymore.
