What size/age is the hat? I don't want to start it if it isn't the right size.

This sweet little hat is the perfect project for a Beginner. It uses basic hat construction techniques but throws in the challenge of a few rows of Color Change. The flower is optional but a nice skill to have, and if you leave it off, the hat is great for a boy. The instructional video is not quite a Crochet Along, but its enough to give the beginning crafter an idea of what to expect with one.

You made it so easy to make comment...I will have to make. I have two great grand daughters. will the pattern fit a one year old and a five year old?

This is such a pretty hat for spring! I love the combination of the stripes and flower.
