"The Basketweave Beanie Hat is a super quick gift that's perfect for yarn stash busting. In sizes from newborn to adult you can whip one up in no time at all. Using just half treble(half double crochet) and double crochet (single crochet) stitches this is a great project for beginners to try. It’s worked from the top down in rounds and the pattern texture comes from working in alternating whole stitch and back loops of the half trebles to keep you on your toes."

Its hard to see the texture pattern in the photo of that perfectly adorable baby, but its loud and clear with the older child. This project isnt that difficult, nevertheless the designer takes the crafter step by step with photos through the crown portion, then additional photos for the body of the hat. Ill definitely be working up this one.
