aloha, I'm not sure why...but I just don't understand this patter. Even the base has me goofed up. I'll have to show it to a friend in the hope that she can help me because i really like the look of it

What a beautiful shawl! I have a friend who is not a friend of crochet because she thinks it looks ordinary. Wait until she sees this pattern! The instructions look easy to follow. You just have to be a bit more attentive while making this but the effort will be well worth it. You could even make the trim in a contrasting color. Thank you.

At first I didnt get it, the name, paper dolls. Upon closer inspection of your picture, I know get it. The pattern around the border does indeed look like the little paper dolls that we played with as kids on one hand and on the other it looks like a pineapple pattern. Either way, it is a pretty shawlette.

Wow, I love the look of Kim's Paper Dolls Crochet Shawlette. The pattern is well written and a easy read, I like the way she explains that a row will turn but will work out with the next row. I love the pineapple design border, I just hope mine looks as good.. Thank you so much for this free pattern that is on my must make list..
