Dubai Turban

search

This Dubai Turban is not your average crochet hat pattern, but it's a pretty smart design. The knot of the hat is a great way to lift up the brim part to not only contain your hair, but it keeps the hat out of your eyes all while still keeping your head nice and warm. This crochet design fits teens to adults and would make a great gift. This crocheted hat is worked in 15 rounds of double crochet resulting in a quick last minute pattern. Choose your favorite crochet color in a solid or a fun variegated yarn.

For girls, this is darling! For women, it could look a little dated if you are not careful. Cute retro-inspired idea from the past, that we can incorporate into a modern 2018. Now, if I were to make this using a black with a metallic sparkle in it, I could wear it out on a date with my husband! Yes, I think you can dress this up!

Dubai turban with a fashion twist. Yeah why not. It looks good on the model and with a little twist in the stitches and design, it will be a great hat to wear occasionally. Will look great in other solid colors.

This is just the spot on appropriate Christmas gift for my eldest daughter. She is big into all things 1920s. I am grateful that it is designated "easy". I'm also grateful that the pattern has links to YouTube videos that show all the stitches. I like the idea of being able to customize it color-wise to whomever I'm going to give it to or match it to my own outfit. Now to go and choose my yarn...choices...choices!!!

This post does not have a picture of the turban so I am forced to use the click here button. Luckily the link is a working link and takes me to Hopeful Honey and to the pattern for this turban. First we get a back story of what motivated the designer to create the turban then scroll down and finally get to see a pic of the project. It is a very cute hat with a cute little model. Pattern looks very detailed and not too hard.

yes me too the email we got said Gypsy Goddess hat and yet this is where the link takes us same with every other item in the letter by the looks of it so far... I was so looking foreward to seeing what the Gypsy Goddess hat was going to look like

This is such a cute hat. When printing out the instructions I couldn't read the print. It was too light to see.

The link in the email states this as the Editor's Pick = Gypsy Goddess Hat .... I'm confused :/

Sometimes the names are changed to show their versatility. Thanks, AllFreeCrochet Editors

This is so reminiscent of the hats my Grandma used to wear. She loved her turbans. She used them before they had "bad hair days", usually the day before she went for her weekly beauty shop appointment.
