Frozen inspired afghan is popular among girls. I want to make this for my granddaughter. I like the very simple design.

This is a lovely example of what you can do with a basic granny square. Only two colors are needed, so its pretty simple to keep the pattern. You could work all the snowflakes individually and then work in the second color (in this case a shade of blue) at a separate time. You only need 35 squares, so this is something you can easily put into your To Go bag.

This is great on so many levels. First of all it's very pretty. Secondly it's a great take along project. Third, the entire pattern is right there, no having to go digging and down loading. And lastly, I read thru it and it does not appear difficult at all. Thank you for sharing, now if I can just get the Suzy Snowflake song out of my head!

I love this granny square afghan, it reminds me of my daughters favorite movie "frozen". She would love to have this as a throw on her bed, perfect for these cold winter nights. The colors are perfect but I would like to use the Red Heart shimmer yarn. Has anyone had experience using it? Does it make the colors "pop" or is it more subtle?
