Plarn Laundry Basket
This Plarn Laundry Basket is made using plan and is large enough to use as a hamper as well as a basket to take to the laundromat. It has a round base and an overall round shape. This crochet pattern would make a great gift for college freshman.

As much as I love the idea of using plarn I do not think that this will be a practical laundry basket. At least not for my family any way. I know that I can find a use for it though because I love to recycle.

I can not wait to start on this project. I have been saving my plastic bags for another project and just happen to run across this one. I love the idea of the laundry basket. I am so excited about using those plastic bags again and keeping them out of the landfill.

I have always wanted to make plarn and try projects like this one out, but I never seem to get around to actually doing it. There is a tutorial to make plarn in this pattern. I may give it a try, but first I need to gather 150 plastic bags!

I don't see any decreases . I'm making this and I'm through row 24 and all I have is a round flat circle. Please advise.

Well, this is too late to help you but maybe someone else will find the answer useful. When you finish row 20 you stop making increases and just work around and around. This causes the work to start to curl up and when you start the hdc rounds it will form a "cup" shape, and you just keep working up the sides. So there won't be any decreases once you finish the bottom, just a stop to the increases. Hope that helps.
