This is a very pretty and easy pattern to make. And the color combos can be anything you like. One point though, this is not a Christmas star, it is the Star of David. I have a Jewish friend I would like to make this for in the traditional colors of white and blue. I know she would really appreciate it.thank you for sharing this.

This Granny Star Ornament is so unassuming. It does not adhere to the usual Christmas colors of red, green and white but it will definitely stand out if you hang it in the Christmas tree or in one particular area in the house. The coral colors in the center contrasts with the gray on the edge of the star. What a clever idea!

I love this simple stash buster ornament. Its the perfect addition to any homemade look. The six-sided shape also can be worked in Hannukah colors of gold, blue and white. The author gives clear written instructions (no step by step photos) but does offer a link to a diagram created by another author. If youve never tried working a project using a diagram, this is a good place to start.

I have made these ornaments many times and they are perfect for using up scraps leftover from other projects. They can be stiffened with a mixture of white craft glue and water and pinned to dry. I've also added some glitter to the mixture for a bit of extra sparkle among the lights! They look great on a tree with other handmade ornaments.
